Origin-destination matrices of motor vehicle traffic in The Netherlands during 2024

These metadata describe data from TomTom using the credentials f.dahlgren@erasmusmc.nl. TomTom captures trajectories of their navigation equipment, which may be a stand alone device or an in-dash system. The first and last part of trips are removed to protect privacy. Then, all trips with a destination or origin in the Netherlands are tabulated by day of the week, date range, time block, gemeente of origin, and gemeente of destination.



The data were collected as part of the R2M2P2 consortium (Readying Regional Mobility data for Modelling Pandemic Preparedness) led by Erasmus MC. Because of the commercial value of these data, we have agreed not to share the data outside of the consortium.
